THE MALLARD FAMILY

House #161

Living with electrical concerns, mold nightmares, and a rent spiral, the Mallard family had a great need for safe housing, but Tarie, a warrior mom and security guard, never gave up. The 100 plus hours of sweat equity from her and her son Cornelius, bolstered by family and friends, unlocked the seemingly impenetrable door to homeownership. This family broke ground on a 3-bed, 2- bath home in Weaver in late February 2024, moving them from hazard to hope.
